If I told you that one of the best places in Cambridge for a curry was a pub and restaurant centering around meat, bread and beer then you’d probably think I was mad. I was lucky enough to attend the launch of cafe Espresso Library, on Saturday evening. It’s a place for fans of great food, great coffee and cycling. The owners Malgo and John have done a fantastic job of transforming the space into a bright and welcoming cafe perfect for a quick coffee or long leisurely lunch.
They’ll be using The Coffee Officina beans, a company based in Essex, in their custom made Slayer Espresso machine. We had a taste of an espresso and it was delicious – fresh, acidic and extremely smooth, I’ve not had coffee like it before.
The menu has been devised in collaboration with extremely talented local chef Stella Pereira. Her food is absolutely delicious so I am looking forward to going back and trying the menu.
Espresso Library is on East Road, and is open from 7am to 7pm with 10% off everything in the first week.
